Due to pending thunderstorms, tonight's hill repeats at Great Falls have been canceled. In their place, I offer you more links on the Interweb to a bunch of people around here writing about bike racing:
- Cyclochris was out assaulting amphibians in Norfolk, at the VA Crit Champs. Want to read about the Cat 5 race and see a bunch of photos and a video of the finish? Maybe a video of the women's race is more to your liking. A pair of clips from the end of the 1/2/3 race sound tempting? Or perhaps you'd like to read up on the continuing saga of Tough Ellie? Cyclochris has got it all. And he also raced at Camp Hilbert the next day - maybe he'll do a post for each lap.
- GamJams.net welcomes Nick "Agent" Mulder to the bike racing blogosphere. His first entry is about being a team playa in the 1/2/3 race at Quicksilver.
- Speaking of Teams, the Haymarket Bicycling Team officially arrived at QS. Jared Nieters loves it when a plan comes together. (And it looks like he's already got a new Orbea to replace the one that was attacked by a signpost last weekend - must be some perks to having your own shop.)
- I saw layzeesusan for the first time in a long while at Quicksilver. He scored a pyrrhic victory at QS: "I didn't get dropped, lapped, or catapulted towards the pavement." Winning comes in many shapes.
- If you like Artemis, you'll like JDAWG's updates. And if you don't like Artemis, you must at least like JDAWG. Who wouldn't like JDAWG?
Some results from the weekend:
- The VA Crit Champs results were distributed via email in an Excel File. If'n you didn't get them or don't want to open Excel, here they are as a PDF: Download va_state_crit_champs_results.pdf
- And here are results for the MABRA Track Champs over the weekend as well.
- I'm told by the good folks at WWVC that it will be a couple days before the Quicksilver results are up, but I'll point to them when they are.
All right, already, so I'm prolific. I'm a journalist; I like to communicate and tell stories. I'm done. My humble Camp Hilbert post is up.

Chris-
Camp Hilbert sounds like such a fun course. I meant to come down but just couldn't carve out the travel time.
Did Ellie race?

Ellie didn't race Hilbert. The girl's got a lot going on to go chasing me around the state. She and I need to go mountain biking so I can try to teach her.
Hilbert is a great course. I love it. It's very much a power-oriented course in my opinion, which suits me. Still a few technical things in there that I'm trying to master having taken this up at mid-life, but it's a blast.
