Happy Bike to Work Day. How many of you strolled proudly to your desks, faces still besplattered with road grime, looking as much like Hincapie in the Arenberg Forest as you could muster?
- Muddy or not, it still beats driving. There have been all sorts of articles lately about how gas prices are impacting spending behavior, but now it's hitting really close to home. Even race day isn't immune. Stormyworld openly wonders whether or not it's worth $40 in gas to drive to a race. Makes a good case for carpooling, which Kyle is looking to do. If I put up a Carpooling Forum here on GamJams, would anybody use it?
- Speaking of Kyle, he's got an anonymous commenter on his site who is a cycling widow, and a sharp-tongued one at that. She's thinking about launching a blog on the topic, provided that there's interest. Kyle's got a poll up where you can vote.
- And speaking of being frustrated by mechanicals (which is getting to be synonymous with Kyle), Twin Turbos has an excellent video of David Millar chucking his bike over the barrier with 1 km to go after something like a 170km breakaway when his chain broke.
- FIREbike attended the VB Council meeting, and notes that you might attract more $350,000 bicycle racing circuits with sugar than you do with vinegar.
- And finally, both velochicken and DCVeloBella point out the grand opening this weekend of Arrow Bicycle in Hyattsville. DCVeloBella sends the following details about the grand opening festivities:
They are a Giant Concept store, so they carry Giant products along with Specialized and Pegoretti's. Giordana clothing, and the usual tubes, helmets (Bell etc.) shoes sidi, specialized, and kids bikes. Below is the info for this weekends events.

Wow. I can't believe it! My piddly little blog idea made it to GamJams!! I'm world famous in Northern Virginia!
I acquired the "blog spot" and decided not to wait until Kyle's poll was finished to begin it.
Too much material. Too much to say. So, here it is, if you care to read it, or link it, or whatever.
I welcome comments....

Chat speak.... ROTFLMAO. That's what I was doing after reading the bikewidow's blog, as was my wife. My wife went through the same stuff with my obsession!

I'm stunned that you put in a plug for Arrow Bikes, which is great, but NOT a little place out in Luray (where, I might add, many of you do an occasional training rides). Read about it here -
