Great read! I find training races good for exposing to yourself to the pack, a little bump here and there doesn't hurt nor does cutting down the middle of the pack. Also, results shouldn't matter or determining who has the the best early season form. ...it's about what you want to train that race if be sprinting, attacking, or whatever. ...to many take these types of races too seriuosly and burn out mentally.

2008 Tradezone was my first race back since 2000. I thought it would be a nice way to ease back in. On the 1st or 2nd lap, I found myself at the back of the A race hanging on for everything I was worth. I realized then it was only a training race by name and payout. Once I got used to the speed, it was fun and a great way to get back into the swing of things. I am cool with racing it, the best way to win races is training to win. If you line up next to me, an official says go and there is a distance to be covered - were racing.

but are you doing the same thing every race to win i.e. sit in, sit some more, then sprint to the line. ...more than one way to win a race you know.

you must not know Chuck...

Chuck only has two speeds.

yeah..slow and slower..

You mean slow and stop.

Who is faster than Chuck in this district?

ME! HAHAHAAA!

holy ass kiss! This chuck meme is spreading out of control. please people have some self respect. just because chuck kills it at Haines Point and on some group rides, doesn't mean he is the second coming. There are a lot of fast people in d20. I just hope team Hardly does the right thing and hooks him up with a TT bike so we can see just how fast he is.

crits and TT don't count. The core of the sport is a real 100 mile RR, but being new here, where are all the RR? Crazy..
