Haymarket Bicycles has been confirmed to participate in "America's Queen of the Classics," the Tour of the Battenkill. The epic road race traverses hilly upstate New York roads and is famous for its unpaved sections. This year's loop is a new one, with less climbing and more dirt - a total of 8 "Un-Pave" sections, comprising 15 miles of the punishing 62-mile circuit.
The Pro/1/2 is by invitation only. Lining up alongside Haymarket are Pro Contintental and Continental squads including BMC Racing, Bissell Pro Cycling, Mountain Khakis, Kelly Benefit Strategies, Team Type 1, DLP Racing and others.
anybody know why Team Harley doesnt do big races like this? they seem to have a killer team, why dont they compete against real competition instead of the MABRA fodder.

Hmmm, I guess Willmington, Priority Health, Air Force, Univest, ING, Nature Valley Grand Prix, Crystal City, Hanes Park, Tour de Toona, and Pesbyterian aren't big races. How did they get to be the top amateaur team (NRC) without doing big races? Must be that MABRA races carry a lot of NRC points.
