We all have our heroes - racers for whom we have a special affinity, and whose gifts we particularly covet. Many times our heroes are amplifications of the way we see ourselves. Rare is the 190-lb kierin specialist who just loves the way that Contador climbs, or the TT-champ with a deep appreciation of Boonen's capacity (though it's certainly more likely after yesterday's demonstration). Now that the ProTour season is full upon us, we've had a lot of time to observe our reactions to racers in the pro peloton and think about who are heroes are this year. Which is to say, we've had a lot of time to think about ourselves, and the kinds of racers we are and want to be.
So when you're turning a pedal in anger, just who are you anyway?
As of this writing, most votes are in the last two slots. Glad to see this much honesty!

I've been known to sprint well, climb well, and stick my nose in the wind. The problem seems to be that I can't do any of these when it actually matters.

Then Sean, the question is whether or not you look good doing it.
