The MP Murad Road Race, scheduled for Saturday May 23rd, has been postponed to Sunday June 14th. Race promoter All American Bikes has cited "other events scheduled to occur in the area" as the reason for the postponement. Here's how the change will work:
- Current Registration: Everyone who is currently pre-registered will be granted entry to the June 14th race.
- Transfers: Transfers will be permitted until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 8th.
- Refunds: If you would like a refund of your entry fee, we will
provide one upon request made by Monday, June 8th. Contact information
for this purpose is provided in Item (9) below.
- Vacancies: Each vacancy created by a withdrawn registrant will be filled in sequence with people from the Wait List, and thereafter by new registrants.
- Re-Opening Registration: Registration will re-open on www.bikereg.com on Tuesday, May 26th and remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9th.
- Wait List: If you are currently on the Wait List and are not available to race on June 14th, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can remove you from the list. Contact information for this purpose is provided in Item (9) below.
- Race Information: Other than as provided above, the race flier/info will remain the same.
- Patience Appreciated: We will do our very best to ease the hassle of rescheduling and appreciate your patience.
- Questions/Requests: Questions and requests should be directed to Matt McGoey.
While we're changing the schedule, think they'd mind postponing it to a 10AM start so we don't have to frikken' wake up at 5AM? Hey, if the last race starts at 1PM anyways, there's obviously enough daylight...
Yeah that'd be great thanks.

Ah, you point out the one aspect of bike racing for which racers with young children are actually better prepared than our childless rivals - the early start time. For many of us, 5am is a pretty leisurely morning.

5am leisurely? What time are you normally up mike? My neighbors do not look like they are up and moving until 7-8am and I only notice that if I get up that early. Ahh the joys of not having kids.
