No component lends more to a bike's personality or performance than the wheels. And with more variety than ever in composition, section depth, brand, price point, technology, ride quality, even color or decals, choosing the perfect wheelset is an increasingly complex decision.
In fact, in many cases it's not a decision at all. It's several decisions - a flat road course decision, a tight crit decision, a climbing decision, a worry-free training decision, a TT decision, a CX decision, an "I-want-to-do-well-here-but-will-probably-crash" decision, and on and on. Wheelsets are the new cycling caps - many racers seem to collect them, almost whimsically. How large is your hoops inventory?
