More often than not, one of the keys to being a successful amateur racer is having time to train. You may have golden legs and off-the-charts VO2 max numbers, but if you don't have time to train, you won't be posting up at the end.
So often, a racer's schedule is a carefully scripted mix of family, work and other responsibilities. So what happens when you throw something like the Tour de France in the mix? It's on in the mornings, live, and repeated throughout the day. Do you make time to watch it or go for a ride and catch up on Jonathan Vaughters' Twitter feed later in the day?
