Here's where you apply to join the GamJams Ambassador Network. You've probably got a few questions:
1. What is it?
It's a group of websites written exclusively by and/or for competitive cyclists.
2. What kind of sites are eligible to join the Network?
There are several different categories of Network Membership. Choose which refers to your site when you apply (below):
- Individual Racer Blog/Site
- Team Blog/Site
- Site or Blog promoting a specific race or race series
- Hub Site (covering a specific region, category, discipline, etc)
- Other sites published expressly for competitive cyclists
3. Why should I join?
A few reasons:
a. More Traffic: GamJams has many tools designed to drive traffic to sites on the Network
b. Free or Discounted Merchandise: Site owners are eligible for pro deals and free samples from sponsors
c. Cash: You can also earn advertising revenue from ads served across the GamJams Network
4. What are the sponsor pro deals?
Here's how it works. You're riding and racing and training, and blogging about it. People know you, partly because of your velocentric feats of strength and skill, but also in no small part because of your blog (and because GamJams.net links to it on occasion). You're a perfect ambassador for sponsors looking for racers to try out product, and share their experiences with their teammates, competitors, and - in your case - growing audience of readers. You also have an audience of bike racers on your site - perfect for a cycling company's ads.
5. You said advertising revenue?
Yes. Advertisers can buy ads that run across every site in the network - yours included. You will earn advertising revenue based on your site's traffic and the ads' performance.
6. Do I have to leave my current team to be in the GamJams Network?
Nope. GamJams actually works best if you're on an established team - you then represent GamJams sponsors to your team through your site, and also represent your team and sponsors to the GamJams audience.
7. Do I have to wear a GamJams.net jersey?
No, you still wear your team kit. GamJams tattoos are permitted.
8. What if an GamJams Network sponsor or advertiser conflicts with an existing sponsor of my team?
No worries - you're not obligated to take advantage of any of the sponsor offers, and you can select which companies' ads run on your site.
9. So what do I have to do?
First, fill out the application below. If you're accepted there are a few other things you'll have to agree to, like putting some site tracking code on your site so we can report total Ambassador Network traffic to sponsors and serve ads on your site, and also adding something to your site that identifies you as part of the network. And of course you'll have to continue doing what you're doing - ride, race and write about it.
10. How do I get my website into the GamJams NewsRolls?
As soon as your application is accepted and you install the code for ad serving and tracking on your site, GamJams will add you to the appropriate NewsRolls. We're continually adding new NewsRolls for different regions or disciplines as the Network grows. If you have an idea for a NewsRoll or want to help us recruit more sites in order to create one, let us know.
