Tuesday 3/2 through Sunday 3/14
Since there are (still) no bike races for us to write about at GamJams, we went ahead and built (another) one. Check your early season form, establish a pecking order within your team, or kick off your spring training with a power test in race-day conditions.
Categories:
- Men A (Pro/1/2/3, Elite and Intermediate Tri)
- Men B (Cat 4/5, Novice Tri)
- Women A (Pro/1/2/3, Elite and Intermediate Tri)
- Women B (Cat 4, Novice Tri)
When registering, you'll be asked to choose your "Competitive Group". Pick whichever category you want to race in, and then select the CompuTrainer Center, date and time you prefer. You'll compete against everyone else in your category, regardless of when and where they race.
Participating Centers:
- Herndon, VA: HPC (map)
- Bethesda, MD: Conte's Bethesda (map)
- Washington, DC: CycleLife (map)
- Middletown, MD: Kelley Acres Speed Shop (map)

The TTT Throwdown (NEW):
- A team's TTT score is determined by adding the lowest individual times from three separate racers with the same team name
- If three racers from a team compete, each racer's lowest score contributes
- If four or more compete, the three best are automatically added
- Throw your whole team at it, just in case someone uncorks a big one
- The TTT competition spans the entire series, from 3/2 - 3/14. Any individual times recording during this period contribute to a team's TTT score
- Individual racers are automatically entered into the TTT - there is no separate registration
- GamJams will award $250 cash sponsorships to the winning Men's and Women's teams*
- In exchange, GamJams asks to be listed along with other team sponsors. Yeah, we know it's too late to get on kits for 2010. Just put our logo on the website. We like the internets.
- Questions or clarifications? Ask away.
Course:
About 20-25 minutes long, and not very respectful of any lagging winter fitness you may still have, particularly the 8% - 10% kicker of a hill at the finish. The course was designed by Mimi Newcastle and all racers will compete on it, regardless of which CompuTrainer center they choose. (Course profile here.)

Other stuff you should know:
Online registration only. This is not a USAC or USAT event. A current racing license is not required. Races will begin approximately 30 minutes after each class starts, allowing ample time for setup, warm-up, racing and cool-down. Bring a trainer skewer and a towel. Thank each center for participating. Read about the first GamJams CompuTrainer TT Throwdown. Go like hell.
*$250 Sponsorships awarded to licensed USAC or USAT clubs only. You can make up a fake unlicensed team for the sake of this event if you want. If you win, you'll be awarded $150 in cash, not $250 in sponsorship. We think that's still pretty generous.
